Polish Heritage Month in Canada

May marks Polish Heritage Month in Canada, a time to celebrate the rich history, culture, and contributions of Polish Canadians.

Canada is home to a vibrant Polish community of more than one million people. For generations, Polish Canadians have helped shape our country through agriculture, industry, business, public service, culture, and community life.

This month also highlights the deep historical ties between Canada and Poland, built on shared values of democracy, freedom, resilience, and respect for human rights.

May holds special meaning for Polish communities, including Polish National Flag Day and the anniversary of the Constitution of May 3, 1791, one of the first modern constitutions in Europe.

Polish Heritage Month is an opportunity to recognize the pride, strength, and lasting impact of Polish Canadians here in Sackville–Bedford–Preston and across Canada.
